From the real to the abstract

Once man conceived an abstract thought of the sounds he produced artificially with his own hand, we reached the point where these first sounds not only had practical utility but also had a figurative utility.

These sounds became part of the inner world of man as a cultural manifestation. We have not come to art itself, but to a previous stage, the use of sound indirectly to produce moods that encourage direct actions, such as dance.

In this stage the sounds are used in such a way that the man feels a particular state of mind to undertake actions in another area. Thus ritual dances are created for war or hunting or simply to cure the sick. Hence the importance of the "witch doctor" who would later extend his knowledge to other spiritual branches.

The learning of man was always accidental and not deliberately knowing what the consequences would be. From the first sounds for a utility such as scare predators using percussive elements, we came to that in that rhythm of percussion the man felt a state of mind that induced him to carry out direct actions in his environment. In this way, other rhythms were created to induce the group to a state of "trance" to achieve other objectives.

Then, these rhythms that began to be dancing would be accompanied by the voice which would define a common culture for each community that inhabited the planet.
