Summary of the Origin of Music

To close this chapter of the origin of music in prehistory, we find several fundamentals that accompany the whole history of music to this day, which are the following:

1) Music is born as a direct and useful means to transform the real world, and this is conditioned by the environment in which it develops.

2) The different musical instruments are born from the most primitive weapons used for hunting or war.

3) The hunting and the war are the fundamental bases of the primitive wealth, therefore the music when being born of the arms has but an aristocratic origin that popular.

4) Music slowly becomes a means to generate transformations in the inner world of the human being apart from being used in the manner of point 1.

5) There is only the music generated by the superior members of the communities, therefore the music adheres to the needs and tastes of the heads being used as a distinctive element of the different communities.

6) Primitive wars popularize the music of the victors over that of the vanquished. Certain musical and instrumental aspects of the vanquished factions are incorporated into the music of the winners.

The prehistory and history of humanity is based on the mere fact of achieving and accumulating wealth. The accumulation of wealth becomes power and therefore more wealth.
The man in itself is guided by their interests or conveniences and the sum of all these interests and conveniences all activities are developed through history, with music being an activity that does not escape this original concept.

In the face of a conflict of interests, war becomes the victor, and consequently the winner captures the wealth of the vanquished, including the knowledge and knowledge that he incorporates into his own culture. Therefore, the evolution of music and all arts depends on how ambitious and warrior the community where it is developed and its territorial expansion marks the course of the evolution of their musical instruments and their musical scales.

This concept of history marks to this day the position of art within culture and society.
